Indonesian Embassy Opens TKI Handling Office


The Indonesian embassy in Kuala Lumpur opened a migrant worker (TKI) handling office at the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT), the Indonesian ambassador to Malaysia said. The office is for the supply of preliminary information on the situation to be faced in their new places of work.
"The office is expected to encourage the TKIs that they are not alone with Indonesian representation ready to provide them with help," Indonesian ambassador to Malaysia Da’i Bachtiar said when inaugurating the TKI handling office at the LCCT in Kuala Lumpur Wednesday.
With the TKI handling office, he said, the Indonesian embassy hoped to make sure that the TKIs worked seriously and and are mentally ready and prepared to face all the problem they may be facing in Malaysia.
